The Children's Ministry of Westview Baptist Church strives to provide a safe and loving atmosphere where each child feels welcomed, loved, and accepted as they grow in knowledge and grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our ministry is based upon Deuteronomy 6:4-7, "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Our desire is to partner with parents to lay the foundation for each boy and girl to come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior as the Holy Spirit convicts them, and then to train them to serve God.
Our Children's Ministry offers age-appropriate programs such as Sunday School, G-Force, Vacation Bible School and many special events.
Sunday School- Every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m., dedicated leaders share Bible stories, Bible verses, and fun activities to help children understand that Jesus is God's Son.
G-Force - Held on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. for our K-4th graders. G-Force combines Bible Study, worship and personal application through the use of music, interative games, and large and small group activities.
Vacation Bible School is held annually in the late summer (July -August.) VBS provides a fun, exciting and learning atmosphere for our community and church family in which boys and girls are presented the Gospel and are shown the love of Christ. This event is the highlight of the summer.
Fall Festival - Held in late October, our Fall Festival is a ministry that provides a safe alternative to Halloween. Our church family serves as host to the entire community. The night is filled with food, games, prizes, candy and fun!
Preschool Ministry
Our Preschool Ministry offers age-appropriate programs such as Sunday School, Extended Teaching Care during all worship services, Preschool Choirs, and many special events. We feel privileged that you allow us to be a part of leading your preschoolers in worship. It is important that children learn from an early age how to worship and how they can participate in worship. Therefore, we encourage parents to take children, from kindergarten age and up, with them to worship services and enroll them in Sunday School.
*Place your baby's name of all personal items: diaper bag, bottles, sippy cups, etc.
*Security cards and sign-in procedure are used for your child's protection. One parent or adult should leave and pick up your child at the door of his/her class.
